Application/Support Engineer - Georgia

 Wavetronix is looking for an Application/Support Engineer who is enthusiastic about helping customers find technical solutions by guiding them through step‐by-step troubleshooting in a friendly and professional manner.  

A successful Application/Support Engineer will: 

  • Master installation and configuration of Wavetronix core products 
  • Demonstrate and troubleshoot Wavetronix products
  • Train small groups (typically up to 10) on the technical capabilities of Wavetronix products 
  • Be self‐motivated and enjoy working on small teams 
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy technical sales and being in front of the customer 
  • Learn Intersection and Controller cabinet basic operation 
  • Keep track of current projects and support cases in CRM  
  • Have a basic understanding of networking  
  • A technical degree (EE or EET preferred)

 

More specifically, the successful Application Engineer will exhibit core competencies based on an aggressive training schedule as follows:

 

3 Month Milestones

  • Understand company core values, strategies, and initiatives
  • Demonstrate functional knowledge of Wavetronix sensor products
  • Ability to enter and pull needed information from CRM
  • Effectively communicate the RMA process
  • Ability to communicate defined Application Engineering role, structure and territory team interactions
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of networking
  • Job shadow on 2 technical sales calls

 

6 Month Milestones

  • Master installation and configuration of Wavetronix sensor products
  • Demonstrate functional knowledge of Wavetronix non-core product lines
  • Perform at least one solo technical customer visit
  • Keep track of current projects and support cases in CRM

 

12 Month Milestones

  • Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and demonstrate all Wavetronix products
  • Learn intersection and controller cabinet basic operation
  • Perform at least 3 solo technical customer visits

Candidates must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone and in person.  Candidates should be willing to get their hands dirty and solve the customer’s problem, document the problem and teach other application engineers how they solved that problem.
